AUTOTECH - READING, BE

The job was a roof section re-paint to my Blue Land Rover Discovery. They gave a competitive quote to an agreed specification for the work. They took the vehicle in on the agreed date and completed it ahead of schedule. The quality and extent of the work carried out was above my expectations and I was very pleased with the result. Throughout my dealings with them they were courteous and professional, I would certainly go to them again.

My car was to be fixed by someone else's insurance, so their insurance company picked this place. I had already found a cheaper place that gave me a completion time of 3 days, but insurance said approval would take longer. The very first thing the Autotech manager (Dan) told me is; "I cannot guarantee any estimated times", and they lived up to that statement. He gave me a 1 week estimate, and when I called up to check on the progress mid-week he was dishonest about it. Told me the car was in the paint shop, but I got a call an hour later from the mechanics asking for the wheel lugnut to start BODYWORK. Long story short, I got my car 3 days after the promised time and only because I threatened the insurance company to pick it up and take it to my original estimator. Although they did fix the dent, they added a new one in a different area and now I have to take it back in (they could not even get THAT right).
