PITTIS INDEPENDENT ESTATE AGENTS - RYDE, IS

Day 1 Made offered on a property, no chain, part mortgage, offer put forward. Day 2 Manager Linda calls saying that she cannot contact seller but will let me know if offer is accepted on Monday she has a few questions how much am I putting down on property and how much mortgage? because some people mortgages are now being refused due to needing kitchens modernised???? I have never heard of this?? and I am not a first time buyer have purchased many properties, I already have my mortgage in place oh and conveyancing pittis have a recommended solicitor that can push things through quicker I began to question this when asked for my DOB and was also told that the property concerned had a cash buyer but the vendor was concerned as the cash buyer needed a mortgage to renovate the property...unnecessary info for me this should have been found out by the agent before that stage..anyway I want a straight forward no chain property..no agents services as already in place my end..another phone call Monday offer not accepted ok end of....a few hours later another call from conveyancing regarding your purchase???what purchase offer refused..told we have a inhouse conveyancing service.. concerned because we are not buying from pittis also the information they keep for their records? pushing mortgages and conveyancing instead of selling.
ok a few more questions Do they know what they are doing?
Of course the offer was not accepted so it not only wastes my time but theirs and I do not want my info retained for their records or to use to target customers like me.
